Terms of Service

These terms apply to services provided by Jeremy Schilling under the name Fix My Spreadsheet ("we," "us"). By submitting a file or paying for a service, you agree to them.
1. The service
We fix, clean up, and build spreadsheets: formulas, data cleanup, reports, dashboards, and automations. We also offer live screen-share help sessions. Fix My Spreadsheet is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft Corporation. "Excel" is a trademark of Microsoft.
2. Quotes
Quotes are free. After you submit your file, we send a fixed price, a description of the work (the "scope"), and usually a preview of the fix. Prices on the website are starting points; the quote is the final price. A quote is valid for 7 days.
3. Payment
Work is paid in full through a Stripe payment link before we deliver the finished file. Live calls are paid when you book.
4. Delivery and the 12-hour guarantee
- Quick Fix and Standard Fix: delivered within 12 hours of payment. If we miss that, you get a full refund on request, and you keep the file.
- Custom Builds: the delivery time is stated in your quote.
- The clock pauses if we need information or files from you to continue, and restarts when you reply.
5. Revisions
If the delivered work doesn't do what the quote described, tell us within 7 days and we will fix it at no charge. Changes or additions beyond the original scope are quoted separately.
6. Your responsibilities
- Keep a backup of your original file. Only send files you have the right to share.
- Check the results before relying on them, especially for financial, legal, tax, payroll, or other important decisions. We fix how the spreadsheet works; we do not give financial, accounting, or legal advice.
- Don't use the service for anything unlawful, or to complete graded schoolwork or exams in a way that violates your school's rules.
7. Live calls
You can reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before a call for a full refund. If you miss a call without notice, it is not refunded. If we miss or have to reschedule a call, you can choose a new time or get a full refund.
8. Confidentiality
We keep your files and data confidential and handle them as described in our Privacy Policy. A signed NDA is available on request.
9. Ownership
Your files and data remain yours. Once you have paid, you own the delivered work and may use and change it freely. We may reuse general techniques and know-how, but never your data.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or decisions made using the spreadsheet. The service is provided "as is," apart from the guarantees stated in these terms and our Refund Policy.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the version in effect when you pay applies to that job. These terms are governed by the laws of Wisconsin, USA.
